Ethan Henshaw (he/him)
Co-Chair
Ethan is a junior in the College studying government and economics. He is passionate about local and community organizing and frequently enjoys volunteering on city council and statewide campaigns. Two of his favorite Democrats are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman (even though Bowman probably pulled that fire alarm on purpose.) In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, watching film nerd movies, and attending concerts. The majority of his hobbies, however, revolve around politics. Ethan is originally from Salem, Massachusetts.
Asher Maxwell (he/him)
Co-Chair
Asher is very excited to be the Co-Chair of GUCD for 2024. He’s in the Class of 2026 at Georgetown and is majoring in government and minoring in philosophy and English. He is passionate about electing Democrats up and down the ballot, especially in the South. He’s a long-time fan of Democrats like Elizabeth Warren, Raphael Warnock, and Andy Beshear. This year more than ever, Asher is looking forward to the vitally important work that GUCD will do on and off campus and the fun-loving community built within it. Asher is originally from Nashville, Tennessee.

Maddie Lilly (she/her)
Treasurer
Maddie is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Government and Math. She has an avid interest in campaign finance and fundraising and is passionate about raising money for progressive issues and Democratic candidates. Outside of GUCD, Maddie is involved in On the Record, DC College Democrats, Young Democrats of America, and the Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program. She is originally from Williamsburg, Virginia.
Dylan Shapiro (he/him)
Director of Campaigning
Dylan is super excited to be GUCD’s 2025 campaigning director. He’s a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and believes that having real conversations with voters is how to win elections. He wants to use his time on Board to grow the campaigning department and make sure they do everything in our power to deny Trump a second term. In his free time, Dylan enjoys watching movies and listening to music. His favorite artist is Taylor Swift. Dylan is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dhruv Shah (he/him)
Director of Professional Development
Dhruv is a junior in the School of Foreign Service, studying International Economics, and is the inaugural Director of Professional Development for GUCD. Outside of GUCD, Dhruv is involved in the Asian American Student Association, the Georgetown International Relations Association, and On the Record. Dhruv is originally from North Brunswick, New Jersey.
Reilly Souther (she/her)
Director of Advocacy
Reilly is a sophomore in the College studying government, and she is so excited to be on Dems board! Reilly believes the government should work for the betterment of the people, and looks forward to helping mobilize the Georgetown community to do just that. Outside of GUCD, she is involved in co-curricular theater and can often be seen being loud in a public place. She is a Lau 2 enthusiast, frequent lawner, and an avid chocolate covered pretzels fan. Reilly can’t wait to work with Georgetown students to advocate for issues they care about. She is originally from Long Island, NY
Mansi Peters (she/her)
Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Mansi is in the College of Arts and Science’s class of 2027. She is studying Government and History with a minor in French and significant coursework in Tech, Ethics, and Society. In her free time, Mansi enjoys skiing, golfing, writing, reading, and anything involving music. She plays two instruments and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Mansi is also a trained ballet dancer of 15 years and loves being on stage. Her favorite thing to do with friends is trying out new places to eat and exploring the city. Mansi is originally from Wausau, Wisconsin.
Braedon Troy (they/them)
Director of Speakers
Braedon is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, is majoring in government, and is proud to serve as Speakers director for the 2024 fall semester. As a proud Midwesterner, they are extremely devoted to helping Democrats win up and down the ballot in sometimes atypical states and communities. They are a long-time fan of Pete Buttigieg and Gretchen Whitmer. Outside of politics, you can usually find Braedon cheering on the Hoyas at Capitol One Arena, insisting that Lake Michigan's shores are just as good as the ocean's, and listening to Bruce Springsteen, ABBA, and Fleetwood Mac. Braedon proudly hails from outside South Bend, Indiana.
Simone Guité (she/her)
Director of Membership
Simone is a junior in the College. She is double majoring in American Studies and Government with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Outside of GUCD she is involved in the GU Pep Band, Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program, and the Circle of Indigenous Students Alliance. Simone is originally from Portland, Oregon.
Elinor Clark (she/her)
Director of Communications
Elinor is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is majoring in Government and American Studies with a concentration in Labor History and is minoring in Spanish. She considers herself a life-long activist and is extremely passionate about worker’s rights and feminist issues. At Georgetown, she is also involved in H*yas for Choice, the Coalition for Workers Rights, and the DC Schools Project. She is currently serving as a Title IX Ambassador and was a lead organizer in the Starbucks Workers United movement and later the Students Against Starbucks campaign. Elinor is originally from Marin County, California.
